The relocation of the VOC office from Jepara to Semarang.

Previous sequence of events:
31 December 1685 - An important meeting to discuss and evaluate the bookkeeping system was held at VOC's lodge Semarang. This meeting also addressed a plan to relocate the VOC's central post in the north-east coast of Java from Jepara to Semarang, as well as a restoration plan of the fort for VOC's trading post at the port of Semarang.
June 1704 - VOC declared Pangeran Puger or Raden Mas Darajat as Susuhunan Pakubuwono the first, thus The First Javanese War of Succession began.
5 October 1705 - A treaty was drawn up in which the territory of Semarang was handed over to the VOC. The treaty was signed by Sunan Pakubuwono I and Governor-General Joan van Hoorn; Semarang officially fell into the hands of the "Company".
