The migration of the Chinese community who are presumably settled around Simongan Hill, Gedong Batu to Pecinan (Chinatown) area.
Previous sequence of events:
1478-1481 (Late 15th century)- The development of Semarang as the port city of Demak Sultanate in order to supersede the position of the Port in Tuban. Panembahan Jin Bun (Raden Patah of Demak) sent Kin Sang (Raden Kusen) to rule and develop the city of Semarang as a port city.
